My Creative Process
The image to the right conveys how my workspace looked for the majority of my creative process. If I had no ideas on what to do next, I would skim through all of my materials again, and find imagery that fits with the overall theme or color palette. I would also stop to look through horror, surrealist, and collage art online to get more inspiration. When I became stuck, I used one creativity method we discussed in scholars lecture, the "Schultz Hour" (Leonhardt). This is a technique where one shuts themself off from distractions for an hour and centers their thoughts on their art, letting the mind drift to new ideas and possibilities. While doing this, I was able to imagine different orientations of images I could use for each collage.
